Some touch up work on the arena yesterday. A little bit of dressing up and we will be seeding next week, installing a retaining wall for the manure dumpster pad and we will be wrapped up next week. Onto another arena in Lothian and some storm water repairs for Baltimore scrap.

We can see the finish line! This was definitely a struggle for us… between weather and being sick, one truck down as well as a skid loader. But we struggled through it, Quinton and I learned some good lessons and we never slacked on quality or took shortcuts.

The site looked like a bomb went off early this morning. We were pushing off mud, undercutting and hauling in millings.

By the end of the day we had the parking lot and 90% of the roads graded and rolled in. It felt good to start getting some finished product.

We are rolling in the road base today. We had just enough rain to hold us up from hauling in the millings to top off the base. Hopefully we can get back at it tomorrow to keep pushing forward to make the deadline for completion.

We ended the week well and boxed out for a road, topsoiled the slopes and dressed up for the weekend.

Although March is throwing us a wild card tomorrow forecasting 3” of snow, the weather from there on out looks like it’s starting to change and it’s time to get some of these new projects started!

The last step to the storm drain system was tying in the rain leaders and wash stalls.

We’ve got to kick it into high gear as we have a good bit of work left on this project and another storm drain project to knock out before starting a small site job with a new client.

Way over due maintenance on my pick up today, my boys were there to give a hand and learn.

We started dedicating Sundays to family time… this was still kind of working and looks a little different than we had imagined when we started doing this, however we were all involved, spending time together and had a great day!

We poured the bottoms and built channels for the inlet and man hole we built. We have 2 more rain leaders and a stall drain to tie in yet but the bulk of the storm drain is complete on this project.

This was a lot of work and a lot of time and thought put in to make everything work just right.
