Loading out on-site spoils today that were too wet for backfill. This winter was not a great one so we had to backfill using RC-6 to keep the project moving. Next week we finish the u ground detention system and grade for curb and gutter.

Though we are grateful to have utility work to get us through the winter months we are anxious to get back at some excavation and grading projects and hopefully this weather is here to stay so we can start!

This winter was a tough one, soon enough we will be back into warmer weather and Coastal is ready to go! If you have a riding arena needing built, foundations dug or site work for house lots we are here to help. We also work with several property management groups to repair storm drain and storm water issues.

Completed installation of a drop connection for a manhole in Alexandria, finalizing the project. Our team has mobilized to Harford County to undertake bridge and pool demolition, followed by fill dirt installation, for a valued property management client. We provide comprehensive services, including storm drain repair, stormwater management, and excavation/grading, to numerous property management companies.

Having the right tools/machines can make a difficult job go 1000 times smoother.
We have had this set up with a “swinger” as I call in and an 18” and 36” tooth bucket and a 5’ grading bucket on a 135 for 2 years now and it’s a very efficient machine for its size.

On this one we used every bucket, forward and backward. The ability to unhook and hook back up with the push of a button made the job go so much quicker and smoother. We had a sidewalk and pedestrian traffic to one side and vehicle traffic to the other side. The ability to tilt while backfilling made for less stone waste, a clean street and sidewalk and less handwork for the guys in the hole.

We are truly grateful to Daniel Good and Bay Country Contractors trusting our crew and machine to get this project done for one of their good clients.

One reason why I believe that Coastal Site Serviceswill persevere is that we have a great group of young men working for us.

When we initially looked at this job I was thinking about 2.5 days per manhole. The first 2 we were getting complete in 3 days, we kept pushing for our goal, my foreman called me halfway through the first day on this one and said we will have it dug out, new bases set and sleeves installed by the end of the day and that is what they did. We backfilled to grade on day 2 and beat our goal! They did this without any shortcuts or sacrificing quality of work, they were efficient and determined. They made sure all the necessary tools were out, they thought forward and had someone completing the next task ahead of them. While we waited for the soils tech we set the top and ran a string to get the rings/lid to grade. Our guys get a sense of satisfaction out of their work and there is nothing better for a company than guys who believe in the mission.

We are removing newly installed manholes and replacing with 1’ diameter larger manholes for a sewer run. We are working for another site company who did not have the time in their schedule to perform this. We are grateful to have built relationships like this, we have a couple other 2nd tier sub jobs which will help us move through winter.

Grading job for one of our custom builder clients in Baltimore county. He builds some very prestigious houses and of course we feel our grading needs to match the beauty of the home.
