A considered update to the existing fireplace helped reshape the feel of this renovated interior.

The original tiled and red brick facade was removed and replaced with a refined concrete finish. A lower-set mantle created cleaner proportions, reduced visual weight, and allowed the surrounding space to feel lighter and more open.

A window designed as part of the architecture, not simply added to it.

The oblong oval form echoes the curves carried throughout the home, creating a softer transition between structure, light and view, and centring itself as a focal point of the structure.

Seen from multiple angles, it becomes both a functional opening and a distinct architectural detail that reinforces the design language of the build.

The centrepiece of this home’s renovation was this custom shelving unit, designed to become a defining feature.

Warm timber tones introduce a subtle retro influence that carries through the rest of the decor, while the considered proportions and integrated detailing give the piece a strong architectural presence.

Both functional and eye- catching, the shelving draws the eye and creates a natural focus within the room.
