Greetings everyone! As I committed, I'm excited to announce that I'll be regularly sharing my latest projects now that I've embraced the world of social media. It's never too late to start, right? This feels like quite an achievement for someone who used to believe in making phone calls instead of sending text messages!

For this week's project, I created a beautiful built-in seating and storage unit to complement a puzzle table. The design was inspired by a piece of furniture that the client adored and had in the same room. I crafted the frame using sturdy fir wood and used pine for the exterior. To bring out the wood's natural grain, I carefully torched it lightly and applied a shellac washcoat before staining to prevent any blotching. The golden oak stain perfectly matched the other furniture in the room. To complete the piece, I applied several coats of satin lacquer and finished it with "Daddy Van's" Beeswax Furniture Polish.

The client was thrilled with the final result and delighted to finally have storage space for her beloved puzzles. Stay tuned for more exciting projects to come!

Wrapping up this incredible renovation project! We took on the challenge of revamping a 1980's home, complete with its original carpeting, wallpaper, and yes, even a popcorn ceiling (a real blast from the past!). We've transformed this space by installing brand new flooring, saying goodbye to the outdated wallpaper, and giving the walls a slick, high-end finish. To add an extra touch of sophistication, we've adorned the entire space with 6-inch base trim and 4-inch door trim. As an accent, we incorporated shiplap under the kitchen island, but the real showstopper of this renovation is undoubtedly the whitewashed beadboard ceiling. It's become the talk of the neighborhood, and we couldn't be happier with how this project has turned out!
