🔥 **Before you plug in that space heater this fall/winter…**

A quick safety reminder:

❌ Don't plug a space heater into an extension cord.
❌ Don't plug it into a power strip.
❌ Don't run it under rugs or where it can be knocked over.

Space heaters draw a lot of power. Whenever possible, plug them directly into an appropriate wall outlet and give them plenty of clearance.

And if the outlet or plug becomes hot, stop using it.

Lights flickering regularly is another.
If your lights are repeatedly flickering, dimming, or getting brighter when appliances turn on, don't automatically assume it's just the bulb.

⚡ **Quick homeowner tip from your local electrician:**

If your breaker keeps tripping, don't assume the breaker itself is bad.

A breaker can trip because of:
• Too much electrical load
• A faulty appliance
• A short circuit
• A wiring problem

You can reset it once, but if it trips again, don't keep forcing it back on. The breaker may be protecting you from a bigger problem.
