IBEW Local 369’s EmpowHER Program is a hands-on day of training created for women who want to learn more about the electrical trade, whether you’re seriously considering it as a career or you’re simply curious about what the work involves.

You’ll get to tour the training facility, see live demonstrations, try some of the work yourself, meet women already working in the industry, ask questions, and learn in a comfortable, judgment-free environment.

What I see: Lessons I learned here will stay with me forever. This place challenged Origin and myself, more than I have ever been challenged in this profession. I see the imperfections, the lost time, the money, the late nights, the sacrifices, and the mental load.

But standing at home plate I can’t help but to think what every child and teen is going to see for decades to come.

Back in September, Eric was involved in a rollover that could’ve easily taken his life. Heavy equipment. Soft ground. The kind of situation that goes wrong fast.

He still carries the scars. The ground out there is still rutted from that day.

Today, he’s fully recovered and back on his feet.

Grateful doesn’t even cover it.
