Leyva Drywall & Insulation is now hiring insulators to install insulation in attics, floors, and behind walls in homes and other buildings.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Load and unload insulation materials
Complete prep work for installation, may include foaming penetrations, caulking gaps, installing baffles, etc.
Cut sections of Batt insulation to the proper fit, install in walls, ceilings and floors, as required
Install pre-cut fiberglass insulation between wall studs and ceiling joists
Install v***r and air barriers as needed
Install mesh fabric (or netting)
Load blower machine with fiberglass insulation; regulate flow of materials. Blow to appropriate depth/density
Use common hand tools such as knives, scissors, saws, and staple guns
Use ladders, scaffolding and stilts
Properly maintain equipment and tools
Follow safety guidelines and procedures
Ensure clean job site
Other duties as assigned

JOB SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Comfortable working on scaffolding and ladders
Strong verbal communication
Ability to perform repetitive movements
Strong decision-making skills
Able to endure both hot and cold weather

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience insulating or similar construction experience
Drivers License is Required
Basic math skills
Attention to detail
Willing to learn
Able to follow instructions
Must be hard working
Willing to put in overtime
Physically willing and able to lift and or carry up to 80 lbs.
Operate power tools and equipment safely and correctly.

Qualifications and skills:

Experience in spray foam preferred
Experience in any type of spraying applications helpful.
Must have knowledge of basic construction
Must have valid driver’s license
Must be reliable & punctual
Be able to lift over 100 pounds
Must be a team player, take pride in your work, and pay attention to the details
Willing and able to climb ladders, scaffolding or stairs, and work on your feet for long periods of time
Ability to work in extreme hot and cold environments
Be willing to learn company values and adopt them as your own work ethic

Responsibilities and Duties:

Responsible for the installation of insulation in residential and commercial buildings
Work both inside and outside
Clean and maintain equipment-rig and guns

Prep work site to be sprayed
Install spray foam
Trim excess foam as needed
Clean up and leave work site looking better than it was found
Know how to perform a material changeover
