***UPDATE***
RING HAS BEEN FOUND! 💍
It was found on the road, it has been ran over, but I’ve contacted a jeweler and they are going to rebuild it. Thank you for all the shares! 🫶🏻

Hey friends — this isn’t our usual plumbing post, but it’s a personal one from me. I know it’s a long shot, but I’ve seen Facebook work miracles in situations like this before.
On Thursday, November 6, my family and I stopped at Walmart in McAlester, OK for a grocery pickup while on our way to Talihina for a family trail ride. During the hectic loading process, I accidentally left my wallet on the bumper of our car.
A kind person later found my wallet in the road near Arby’s, just past the gas stations, and turned it in to the McAlester Police Department — and I’m so, so grateful for that act of honesty. Unfortunately, I’ve since realized my wedding ring was inside the zippered compartment of my wallet, and it’s now missing. There was a small hole in the bottom of that pocket… it truly feels like the perfect storm. 🥺
And yes, I know — why was my ring in my wallet? Due to recent weight loss, it had started slipping off my finger whenever my hands got cold. I had tucked it safely away the night before because I didn’t want to lose it on a warm-up trail ride. Then, thanks to my ADHD brain, I forgot to put it back on the next morning.
I understand it can be replaced, and I know there are far greater losses in the world right now — but this ring holds so many memories. It would mean the world to have it back.
If anyone happens to find or come across a ring that looks like this, or if you see one posted on Facebook Marketplace, pawn shops, or resale pages, please contact the McAlester Police Department.
Thank you to everyone who shares this. I truly believe kindness and honesty come full circle.
