A loyal customer called us asking the best way to leave her faucets dripping, she said she knew exactly where to go for answers, “her plumber.”

Her words warmed our hearts on this cold day.

We realized this is a good reminder to share, because not everyone knows the same things, and that’s okay. Staying ahead of freezing temps can save a lot of stress (and repairs).

Here are a few helpful tips:

Hot and Cold 🔥❄️
Let both sides drip. Pipes don’t freeze based on water temperature alone—movement is what matters.

Drip vs. Light Stream 🚰💧
It depends on how cold it gets and where the pipe is located.
• Mild cold: a steady drip is usually fine
• Extreme cold: a light stream can be safer, especially for vulnerable lines

Watch Exterior Walls & North-Facing Pipes 🌨️
Pipes on exterior walls—especially on the north side—take the brunt of cold air and need extra protection.

Open Cabinet Doors 🚪
This allows warm air from your home to circulate around plumbing under sinks.

We’re always happy to answer questions, big or small. The fact that customers trust us even for advice means more than we can say. Thank you for letting us be “your plumber”…. not just when something breaks, but when you want to prevent it.

Stay warm out there. We’ve got you. 🧡🩵

Today is Word Nerd Day!
A day to expand your vocabulary — let’s get to it.

Today’s word: Consilience
When multiple forms of evidence point to the same truth.

Example:
At Cowboys Plumbing, our experience, training, professionalism, results, and even our customer reviews all agree:
This is how quality work is done.

That alignment? That’s consilience.

So now that we’ve learned a new word, let’s use it in a sentence:

The consilience between our experience, training, professionalism, results, and customer reviews is what defines Cowboys Plumbing.

Consilience. Cowboys Plumbing. 🧡🩵

Thanks for nerding out with us today. 🤠

Word of mouth is the most powerful form of marketing there is. It’s an honor to be recommended through real experiences rather than advertisements. To me, it’s the most authentic and trusted kind of marketing, and it means far more than any billboard, radio spot, or TV commercial.

Thank you Cha’son. 🫶🏻

At Cowboys Plumbing, we may be up-to-date with the latest tools and technology … but our hearts? Josh and I are a couple of old souls.

We wanted to show appreciation for our team, but we didn’t want to order out or rely on catering. We wanted something personal. Something warm. Something home-cooked.

Josh fired up the smoker at 2am and let that brisket go all night. Meanwhile, he and I stayed up until 4am making potato salad and baked beans. Then we loaded everything up, hauled it to the office, and sat down for one of those old-fashioned, “everyone-around-the-table” kind of lunches.

We’ve celebrated our team with restaurant lunches, dinners, and workiversary breakfasts, but this felt different. Gathering for a home-cooked meal is personal, heartfelt, and a little vintage, just like the values we try to live by every day at Cowboys Plumbing.

To our team: thank you. For every late night, every early morning, every job done with care. You are what makes Cowboys Plumbing more than a company…..you make it family.

Happy Women’s Entrepreneurship Day! 🧡🩵

Owning Cowboys Plumbing as a woman and as a Native entrepreneur is something I’m truly grateful for. But I’ve never seen this business as “mine.” Cowboys Plumbing has always been a partnership — built with Josh, grounded in our faith, and rooted in the cowboy culture that’s a real part of who we are.

In the early years, it was just the two of us doing everything we could to get this dream off the ground. We put in long days, learned as we went, and poured our hearts into building something we hoped would serve our community well.

Today, I’m incredibly thankful that our hard work has grown into a company supported by an amazing team. They’re the ones who keep things running day to day. Their dedication is what allows Josh to step back into more of a leadership role… and it’s what allows me to do something I cherish deeply — stay home and homeschool our three daughters.

This journey hasn’t been a solo effort or even a duo effort. It’s taken all of us. To our team reading this, thank you for everything you do.

But today, I’m reflecting with gratitude on the opportunity I have as a woman and as a Native owner to help lead a company that still carries the cowboy heart behind its name.

So here’s to the hard work that built us, the team that keeps us growing, and the partnership that’s at the core of everything we do.

Happy Princess Day! 🤠👑

Today we’re celebrating our littlest team members — the tiny cowgirls who keep our hearts full. 🫶🏻

They may love their boots and their horses, but they also rock their crowns proudly.

At Cowboys Plumbing, we believe you can be both — Cowgirl and Princess. 🧡🩵

RING HAS BEEN FOUND! 💍

It was found on the road, it has been ran over, but I’ve contacted a jeweler and they are going to rebuild it. Thank you for all the shares! 🫶🏻

Hey friends — this isn’t our usual plumbing post, but it’s a personal one from me. I know it’s a long shot, but I’ve seen Facebook work miracles in situations like this before.

On Thursday, November 6, my family and I stopped at Walmart in McAlester, OK for a grocery pickup while on our way to Talihina for a family trail ride. During the hectic loading process, I accidentally left my wallet on the bumper of our car.

A kind person later found my wallet in the road near Arby’s, just past the gas stations, and turned it in to the McAlester Police Department — and I’m so, so grateful for that act of honesty. Unfortunately, I’ve since realized my wedding ring was inside the zippered compartment of my wallet, and it’s now missing. There was a small hole in the bottom of that pocket… it truly feels like the perfect storm. 🥺

And yes, I know — why was my ring in my wallet? Due to recent weight loss, it had started slipping off my finger whenever my hands got cold. I had tucked it safely away the night before because I didn’t want to lose it on a warm-up trail ride. Then, thanks to my ADHD brain, I forgot to put it back on the next morning.

I understand it can be replaced, and I know there are far greater losses in the world right now — but this ring holds so many memories. It would mean the world to have it back.

If anyone happens to find or come across a ring that looks like this, or if you see one posted on Facebook Marketplace, pawn shops, or resale pages, please contact the McAlester Police Department.

Thank you to everyone who shares this. I truly believe kindness and honesty come full circle.
