Elevating high school arts programs starts with creating performance spaces that match professional standards.

RYTAN Construction has completed a 17,000-square-foot interior renovation of the Agua Fria High School Performing Arts Center in Avondale. The comprehensive transformation upgraded the existing auditorium with 636 new fixed seats, custom wood veneer and acoustical wall treatments, reconfigured sound booth layouts, and full theatrical lighting, rigging, drapery, and AV systems.

Executing detailed finishes and complex infrastructure upgrades—including complete electrical controls, aisle lighting, and enhanced accessibility ramps—demands precise trade coordination. RYTAN is proud to deliver a modern, technology-rich environment that will host Agua Fria High School performances, instruction, and community events for years to come.

Our team transformed the instructional layouts to accommodate specialized trade programs. This past Friday, we brought the entire RYTAN team together for a company BBQ to toast to Fred Risano, Senior Project Superintendent, on his retirement. Responsible for directing field activities and coordinating our trade partners on site, Fred brought genuine passion to the trade every day, finding the greatest job satisfaction in constructing educational projects that serve future generations.
