The tile gets the compliments. What’s behind it does the quiet work.
BEFORE YOU REMODEL: Does a tiled shower automatically mean a waterproof shower?
No. Tile and grout alone are not a waterproofing system. The shower’s walls, base, corners and drain need to work together to manage water behind the finish.
Before choosing tile for your Temple, Belton or Salado bathroom, ask your remodeler:
• What waterproofing system is planned for this shower?
• How will the corners, niche and plumbing openings be protected?
• How will the shower base connect to the drain?
• What checks happen before the tile goes on?
Save the tile samples. Add those questions to your planning list, too. The details you don’t see deserve a place in the conversation.
What would you change first in your shower: more elbow room, better storage or an easier-to-clean layout?
Let’s talk through your bathroom remodel.
