Good Wednsday
The team and I spent the day in Temple, fixing an Ash tree that was damaged by the ice storm a few years ago and filter pruning a Shumard Oak that had never been gone through. Before an afters. We usually dont go that high with the trees but to fix the Ash we had to.

Full professional removal over new fence and utility drops. Stump grind up to 10 inches under grade. Haul away all.

Well… somebody finally turned the water hose on for us! 😂
After a good rain, take a minute to look up at your trees. Check for:

🌿 Broken or hanging branches
🌳 New leaning
💨 Damage from wind
🍂 Branches that look like they’re ready to come down

And remember—rain doesn’t automatically mean your trees are done needing water. Soil type, tree age, and how much rain actually fell all matter.

Start the week with a little tree check. Your trees will thank you! 🌳

We’ve been talking about watering trees so much, Mother Nature apparently got tired of hearing about it.
So today’s tree-care advice is simple:
☔ Let it rain.
🌳 Let those roots enjoy it.
😎 And maybe don’t complain about the mud… you asked for this.
Your trees are happy. Your grass is happy.
And somewhere, a tree guy is standing outside saying,

Because apparently in Texas, asking for rain politely doesn’t work.

So water the trees, cross your fingers, look toward the sky and say:

“Okay, Mother Nature… your turn.” 🌧️😂

🌳 Tree Tip: Your Tree Has a Root Zone — Not a Root Ball
A lot of people think a tree’s roots grow straight down. Most of a tree’s important roots actually grow outward and stay relatively close to the surface.
That means things like:
🚗 Driving or parking over the soil
🧱 Adding concrete or heavy construction
⛏️ Digging around the tree
🌱 Piling soil or mulch against the trunk
can damage roots even when the tree itself looks perfectly healthy.
Protect the soil around your trees, and you’re protecting the tree. 🌳
That’s one of those tree-care facts that’s easy to overlook until the tree starts showing signs of stress.
