My review is based on my experience working with TightLine Construction Contracting LLC for a remodel project in 2025. Our project consisted of remodeling the kitchen, bathroom, and entryway, including new plumbing, electrical, some new windows, and new flooring throughout the entire home. Our house is a 1921 home where the walls, ceilings, and floors are not flat/straight. This created an additional challenge of trying to make straight lines when nothing is straight.
We had 6 contractors out to give us bids. Joe was by far the most prepared, professional, and thorough of all the contractors. He was quick to understand our project, see our vision, and provide insight on options without changing our scope/vision. Where a few contractors were cheaper on the bid, it was clear their bid was to do the bare minimum asked. TightLine's bid felt realistic, considered quality outcomes, and provided us a budget to work within for each item. We ended up slightly over but that was agreed upon for scope changes during the project. Joe was the only one who acknowledged the challenges of our old house and considered those within the bid which gave us a clear price for the quality outcome we were wanting.
Joe and his team were easy to communicate with. They answered our questions at any point, and frequently consulted on items that needed our input/preference. I never felt like I had to track them down or seek out an update, though when I did reach out they were receptive and quick to offer resolutions or ideas. I never felt like my questions or comments were met with anything other than friendly professionalism.
When Joe came out to give us a bid, we discussed the timeframe. The timeframe he gave in his original meeting was accurate to the final outcome. He created a detailed schedule that outlined the steps of the project, what subcontractors would be there, and when subcontractors were scheduled. It was easy to follow along and stay informed about where we were at. Despite supply issues and some minor surprises in the project, Joe and his team completed the project on the exact date it was scheduled for. I'll never know what they did behind the scenes to make it work, but I'll forever be thankful for their dedication to the timeline and helping us move back in on time.
Joe and his team were incredibly thoughtful at every step. Our project would not have come together nearly as well without their input and ideas. They provided so many extra touches/considerations and it shows in the final product. When I say they're thoughtful, I want to be clear that by the time we moved in the house was professionally cleaned, windows washed, construction debris cleaned up, walkways pressure washed, and some additional extras completed, and all within the timeline set months prior. It made it a really special experience for us to move back in after such a large project.
It appeared from our perspective that Joe and his team were well respected by the subcontractors. The subcontractors were professional, considerate, on time, and did great work. They seemed to have a good working relationship. I think that speaks to the quality and professionalism Joe and his team bring.
Joe and his team made this a great experience. I can't say enough good things about this project. Though remodels are always stressful, there were no points in this project that I regreted our decision to go with TightLine. I think folks would be missing out if they don't call TightLine for their project. We couldn't have asked for a better outcome to a large scale project in a unique old home. We're very thankful to have met and worked with Joe and his team, and we wish them all the success on future projects.
