It was an honor to meet Indiana Department of Workforce Development Commissioner Kate Shelby at a recent DWD leadership forum.

The forum brought together chairs and executive directors from all 12 of Indiana’s Economic Growth Regions for meaningful conversations about the future of our state’s workforce. From upskilling Indiana’s current workforce to attracting new talent, collaboration across our regions will be critical to meeting the needs of Indiana’s evolving economy.

For high-purity piping systems, consistency and precision are critical.

Our fabrication team uses automatic AMI (Arc Machines, Inc.) orbital TIG welding equipment to weld high-purity stainless steel tubing commonly used in pharmaceutical and life sciences facilities. The automated process helps produce consistent, high-quality welds while meeting the demanding standards these environments require.

But advanced equipment is only as effective as the people operating it. Orbital welding requires specialized skill, technical knowledge, and experience—and our team brings all three to every project.

Time is one of the most valuable resources of any industrial project.

By fabricating piping systems, mechanical skids, and assemblies in a controlled shop environment, much of the work is completed before materials ever arrive on site. This allows installation to happen more efficiently, with fewer disruptions to ongoing operations.

One of the ways we ensure consistent, reliable workmanship is by following ASME Section IX standards. These standards establish the requirements for qualifying welding procedures (WPS) and welder performance qualifications.

Freitag-Weinhardt was proud to attend Indianapolis Business Journal’s Innovate West Central Indiana event and meet with leaders who are helping shape what’s next for our region.

It was also great to connect with State Representative Tonya Pfaff and so many familiar faces from across the community. Events like this create valuable opportunities to bring business, government, education, and community leaders together around the growth and future of West Central Indiana.

We are proud to be part of the momentum and innovation moving our communities forward.
