Over the past 28 days we have transformed this 3 bed 1 bath single family home into a 4 bed 2.5 bath home. Here’s a list of the things we’ve tackled and the order in which they were done;
-New roof installed
-Removed a jack and jill style door between two bedrooms
-Removed all plumbing and installed all new pex water lines and new drain lines
-Completely demoed the kitchen and prexisting bathroom
-Replaced 1 window and deleted one that was hidden behind the bathtub
-Renovated the attic into a 500 sqft master suite that includes a master closet, bath and bedroom.
-Created 2 separate chases for all our infrastructure to run upstairs to our master suite (electric, water, drains, ductwork)
-Drywalled the downstairs bath and the entire master suite
-We prepped and painted the entire property
-While in the framing stages we created cubbies for built in shelves in the knee walls
-We’ve begun building our custom shelves and cubbies and will be painted and installed during our trim package phase, shortly after flooring is done
-The 2 full bathrooms have been floored today
All in all we are about 2.5 weeks ahead of schedule. This week we have the following planned:
-Vinyl plank flooring installed in the half bath, living room, dining room and kitchen.
-Carpet installed on stairs, the master bedroom and the 3 bedrooms down stairs
-All toggle switches, receptacles, and light fixtures updated/installed
-Kitchen cabinet package installed
-Bathroom fixtures such as vanities and toilets installed
-All interior doors reinstalled as well
