We hope everyone stayed safe with yesterday’s winds, and will continue to do so through today’s weather predictions.

The Storm Prediction Center has flagged a significant severe weather threat across Central Indiana for Wednesday into Wednesday night. Forecasters are calling this an all-hazards event — meaning damaging winds, very large hail, and strong tornadoes are all possible.

Please take a few minutes today to get ready:

🔔 Turn on Wireless Emergency Alerts on your phone and make sure severe weather warnings can override Do Not Disturb so you're woken up if a Tornado Warning is issued overnight.

📱 Charge your phone fully and keep it close by — not in another room.

🏠 Bring in or secure anything outside that could blow away or become a projectile in high winds.

🛑 Know your safe room now — an interior room on the lowest floor, away from windows — so it's not something you're figuring out in the middle of the night.
