The flames from the Awaka Butte Fire came far too close for comfort to this family, whose home we had just completed a full restoration....just days before they received their evacuation notice.
Today, they are safely back home, and both they, and our team are deeply grateful for the extraordinary courage and tireless work of the firefighters and emergency personnel who protected this community.
We continue to pray for everyone affected by the fires throughout the Northwest, for protection, strength, and hope.
In times like this, being a good neighbor takes on an even deeper meaning. Whether it's lending a hand, offering encouragement, praying for one another, or simply showing up, every act of kindness matters.
