Richards Corporation was started in 1967 by Dickie Doyle in his strive to live the “American Dream”. Since then, it has grown from a small company with an old dump truck and backhoe doing residential and commercial work in the immediate area, to a much larger company. With over 100 employees doing site work and excavation as well as building and general contracting, Richards has grown to be a leader in Connecticut's construction industry. It is currently owned by a second generation of family members, as the third generation assembles. Richards Corporation focuses on vertical construction, concrete, site, and road work. Projects range from full scale retail development to construction and reconstruction of institutional, office, religious, mid-rise housing, laboratory and hospital buildings. Projects range in size from $25,000 to $25,000,000 with much of the work performed with in-house resources. Richards work range is all of Connecticut, Massachusetts and New York, and has an office located Raleigh, North Carolina.
