1) Leave your water at a steady stream (not a drip). Hot and cold.

P.S. if you have a tankless water heater make sure you have hot water at a good stream so the flow switch will recognize flow and come on.

2) Take all water hoses off hose bibs outside and wrap them.

3) Make sure you have a light (non LED) or other type of heating device around your water well.

4) All exposed piping needs to be insulated if possible

5) All exterior cabinets that have plumbing inside,leave doors open to allow warm air from home to enter.

6) Drain all pool pumps ,equipment and winterrize.

7) If for some reason you loose water pressure . Turn water heater off and open every fixture you have wide open until pressure is restored.

If you think a line might freeze it probably will. Do whatever you can to protect it.

For those of you that don’t know David had a massive heart attack this morning. It was touch and go at first but he is doing ok now. Please remember him in your prayers. He is very lucky to be alive.

Consider installing specific products made to insulate water pipes like a “pipe sleeve” or installing UL-listed “heat tape,” “heat cable,” or similar materials on exposed water pipes.
