Incredibly, Antonin Dvořák wrote his magnificent 8th symphony in just 17 days! A favorite of orchestras and audiences, the symphony has the simple appeal of folk music and the complexity of Beethoven. It's by turns joyful, playful, regal, romantic and melancholic. The Gorge Sinfonietta can't wait to share this music with you on March 7 at 7 PM, and March 9 at 2 PM in the Wy'east Middle School PAC. Tickets are available at gorgeorchestra.org. The concert also includes Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture, and Sergei Prokofiev's playful suite from his film score to Lt. Kije.

Just a reminder that the Gorge Winds is having their annual Christmas concerts this weekend - Friday, Dec 20th at 7pm and Saturday, Dec 21st at 3pm. Both concerts will be held at First Christian Church in The Dalles, Oregon.
