We are honored to share that GFP Somdal has been selected for the Shreveport Campus Redevelopment & Workforce Modernization project at Northwest Louisiana Technical Community College (NLTCC).

NLTCC's Shreveport campus prepares students for careers that keep Northwest Louisiana working. This project will shape where that training happens for years to come, and our team takes that responsibility seriously.

The work will be led from our Shreveport office, where our roots run deep. Through Somdal Associates, our firm has been designing in Shreveport since 1908, more than 115 years of shaping the city we call home. This project carries particular meaning for our team.

"NLTCC knows what its students and employers need. Our job is to listen closely and give that vision buildings that work as hard as the people who learn and teach in them. We are grateful for the committee's confidence and ready to get started," said Chris Elberson, AIA, NCARB, Principal in Charge.

We had a great afternoon hosting LSU AIAS students at our Baton Rouge office for the Firm Crawl.

Two members of our team led the visit. Annabelle Pineda Ramirez, an LSU architecture graduate, recently joined GFP Somdal as an Assistant Project Manager. Elise Kliebert is a fifth-year LSU architecture student who interns with us while she finishes her degree. They are two of our top performers, and they embody the spirit of our studio culture. We were glad the students got to meet our firm through them.

Thank you to LSU AIAS for organizing the day, and to every student who visited. We hope to see some of you again.

Four years running, GFP has earned a place on the LSU100.

The LSU100 recognizes the fastest-growing companies owned and led by LSU graduates. We placed No. 65 in 2023, No. 14 in 2024, and No. 15 in 2025, and we return as an honoree for 2026.

Rankings move around from year to year. Staying on the list four years straight is the part that matters, because it takes clients who come back and a staff who gives them a reason to. Both are harder to build than a single strong year.

Thank you to LSU for the recognition, and to every client, consultant, and contractor who had a hand in it.

GFP is now GFP Somdal, adding a Third Tiger Graduate Owner and Leader. We look forward to another strong showing on the LSU 100 list in 2027.

We have some exciting news to share — please help us welcome Annabella Pineda Ramirez as our newest Intern Architect / Assistant Project Manager! 🎉

Annabella graduated from LSU's College of Art + Design with a Bachelor of Architecture. She joined us as a Student Intern back in January 2025, so she's already hit the ground running and feels right at home here at GFP.

She's talented, driven, and brings a wonderful mix of technical skill and a creative heart to everything she does. We're so excited to have her as a full member of the team!
