Good morning, I am emailing the board of elections to inform them that the ordinance below is being violated during this election cycle. Just coming to work this morning, I seen 3 signs within 2 ft of the edge of the road. As November gets closer these signs will become a nuisance because there will be many of them. Please inform the candidates to move their signs and place them appropriately.

Placement of signs
• Private Property: Political signs are permitted on private property as long as you have the owner's explicit permission.
• Public Property and Right-of-Ways: You cannot place campaign signs on public property, including city or county buildings and rights-of-way. These signs are considered a public nuisance and will be removed by county or state authorities without notice.
• Penalties for violations
• Violating the state law regarding prohibited placement of signs is a misdemeanor offense. Each illegally placed sign can be considered a separate offense, potentially resulting in fines or jail time.
