A Huge THANK YOU! to those who have donated to the community Harvest Food Bank at our booth during David Thompson's Days this weekend. We raised $219! With North Star Drilling matching every dollar donated, A $438 Check will be given to the Food Bank along with some canned food. Great Job Sanders County!

Some things to think about when getting a well drilled.
1st Step: Call a local and trusted Well Drilling company to get an estimate. Ask to be placed on their schedule. (make sure to ask if your county requires an APPROVED Well permit if the company you call does not ask first) (side note: if your location is in a reservation you will also need to look into permission from the rez)
2nd Step: Clearly mark the location you are wanting the well drilled at on your property. (you may need a site surveyor to determine this location based off of legal set backs in your area. You can ask the local well drilling company who they recommend.
3rd Step: If your county does require a permit and or permission from the Rez, you will need to start the process to get those approved.
4th Step: Make sure the drill rig can get to location of Well location. Most companies require about a 40X40 leveled pad with no obstacles in the way of the derrick raised. If you are not sure on some obstacles that may be a problem feel free to ask the well drilling company for a site visit before equipment is scheduled to be on your property.
This in not all of the steps needed to get a well drilled but this is a good starting point. Every job is a different circumstance so feel free to ask as many questions as you see fit. HOPE THIS HELPS!
