Today, our plumbing students stepped away from the pipes to gain a deeper understanding of what it takes to run a successful operation. They engaged in essential hands-on training focused on inventory management and supply organization, learning how to keep a business in peak working order from behind the scenes.

Check out these important tips to get you ready for the cold weather!

❄️ FREEZE WARNING THIS WEEKEND ❄️
Cold temperatures are coming, and now is the time to protect your plumbing and avoid costly damage!

Here are some important steps to keep your pipes from freezing:

🚐 Campers / RVs
• Shut off the water supply
• Fully drain the trailer
• Look for low-point drains underneath the camper and open them

🏠 Homes
• If you have power and heat — great!
• Open cabinet doors on exterior walls so warm air can circulate
• If sinks are on exterior walls, drip your faucets
• Wrap hose bibs tightly with a towel or use a hose bib cover stuffed with rags
• If you have a Freeze Miser, REMOVE IT — we’ve seen multiple failures during extreme cold
• If you have NO power and NO heat:
– Shut off the water supply to the home
– Open faucets to relieve pressure and drain the water

🐄 Barns & Water Troughs
• Shut the water off if possible
• Drain all lines and troughs completely

🚨 If you lose water
• Locate your main water shut-off and turn the water off immediately to prevent damage
