This week, our crews made great progress at Lackawanna College’s CTI building. 🔧🏗️

The team set four rooftop HVAC units and also installed the oil separator for the project’s plumbing systems.

Another important step forward as the building’s mechanical systems continue to come together.

Great work by the team! 👏

Congratulations to Building Blocks Learning Center on the grand opening of its new downtown Scranton location! 🎉✂️

We were proud to be part of bringing this beautiful new learning environment to life through the HVAC work completed by the Scranton Electric Heating & Cooling team.

The new center provides a bright, welcoming space designed for young children to learn, grow and thrive—and it was exciting to see the finished facility filled with community members celebrating this important milestone.

We’re always proud when our work contributes to projects that strengthen our community and create spaces that will serve local families for years to come.

Congratulations to the entire Building Blocks Learning Center team on your new Scranton home! 👏

At Pocono Mountain Municipal Airport, where our Scranton Electric Heating & Cooling team is installing Viega’s Climate Mat radiant heating system for the new 15,000-square-foot hangar. 🔧🏗️

The team made incredible progress—installing a 3,750-square-foot section in just two hours and getting the area ready for concrete. 👏

The project also includes Viega’s snow melt system around both the new hangar and the existing hangar next door, helping keep critical areas clear and functional through Northeast Pennsylvania winters. ❄️

Great work by the team, and more progress to come.
Stay tuned for more updates from Pocono Mountain Municipal Airport!

Today is National I Forgot Day… and honestly, it’s the perfect reminder. 😅

Forgot to change the filter?
Forgot to schedule seasonal maintenance?
Forgot about that small plumbing issue that still hasn’t been checked?

It happens.

The problem is, small things that get pushed off have a way of turning into bigger, more expensive problems later.

A little attention now can help prevent a major headache later. 🔧💧❄️

If HVAC or plumbing maintenance has slipped your mind, today is a good day to get back on track.

We’ve seen it too many times: a small issue turns into a major headache. 😬🔧💧

A strange noise gets ignored.
A small leak gets pushed off.
A system starts struggling, but since it is still running, nothing gets scheduled.

Then suddenly it is not a small issue anymore.

Now it is an emergency call, a bigger repair, water damage, downtime, or a system that quits when you need it most. ❄️🔥

The truth is, many major HVAC and plumbing problems start with small warning signs.

Catching them early is almost always easier, less stressful, and less expensive. ✅
If something in your home or building has felt “slightly off,” don’t wait until it becomes a much bigger problem.

Schedule service now and take care of it early. 👍

Today marks two years since we lost our founder, Harold J. Newell.

Harold built Scranton Electric Heating and Cooling Services into the company it is today. The foundation he laid, along with the hard work, kindness, and values he instilled, still shape who we are as a team.

We remember him with gratitude and honor the legacy he continues to leave behind.

A simple maintenance checklist can prevent a very expensive day. 🔧💧❄️

For most HVAC and plumbing systems, the basics matter more than people think.

✅ Change filters on schedule
✅ Watch for small leaks
✅ Pay attention to unusual sounds, airflow changes, or temperature swings
✅ Do not ignore slow drains or rising utility bills
✅ Schedule routine service before peak season, not during it

These small steps help catch problems early, reduce strain on your systems, and lower the chance of an unexpected breakdown. ⚠️

Preventive maintenance is not complicated.

It is simply consistent. 👍
If it has been a while since your last inspection, now is a good time to schedule it.

Why do HVAC and plumbing problems always seem to show up at the worst possible time?

Because the breakdown usually does not start that day.

It starts earlier — with wear, strain, and small warning signs that build over time.

Then when the system is working its hardest, whether during extreme weather or heavy use, that hidden issue finally catches up.

That is why routine service matters.

It gives you the chance to catch problems early, before peak demand turns them into a costly emergency.

The worst time to find out something is wrong is when you need the system most.
If it has been a while since your last service, now is the time to schedule it.
