Introducing the the newly sworn in board members of the recently voter approved Tillamook Bay Fire an Rescue RFPD. As pictured, Casey Burden, Leonard Ingles, Tim Hamburger, Kathy Baker and Geoff Hoffert. They start with the new fire district July 1st. The dissolution of the 33 year old Tillamook Fire District will be tonight at 11:59 pm. I would like to thank all of our patrons and followers of this page for your support! As the administrator of this page and Fire Chief of the Tillamook Fire District, I will be retiring also tonight. In the near future there will be a new Fire District FB page developed. Yesterday evening, Tillamook Fire District personnel responded to a report of a structure fire on the Westside of town. Upon arrival, there was a light amount of smoke showing from the front entry door. The resident was able to control the fire with a nearby garden hose. Fire crews overhauled the involved area and removed smoke from the residence
The structure sustained considerable damage to the rear porch/utility room area. PLEASE be careful with discarded ci******es!

On Friday morning Tillamook Fire District personnel responded to a report of a dishwasher that was on fire. The resident discharged a dry chemical fire extinguisher prior to our arrival to control the fire. Fire personnel removed the appliance from under the counter and disconnected the electricity.

On Wednesday evening fire crews responded to another transient fire on the Hoquarten Trail.

Tillamook and Bay City Fire were dispatched to a possible structure fire this morning. Upon arrival at the single story residence there was smoke showing from a roof vent. The resident advised that the range hood fan had been on fire, which had extended to the attic. Fire personnel quickly found and extinguished the attic fire and overhauled the area.
