Been thinking on this for awhile, and needless to say I can't do it on my own. I refuse to believe volunteering for your fire departments is dead, and I don't want to be here to see when it does die. So I need some help from the community and volunteer fire departments in the area or departments out of the are to give some advise on what helped you get more people and ideas on what can help. Truth of the matter is the future at this point for volunteering is unknown wether others want to accept it or not. We can sit back and watch it fall or stand up and do something about it. Every minute counts, on a call or how much time someone can put in to helping the community. If a VFD falls, ya better bet taxes in that area are gonna skyrocket to either pay a mutual aid company , who are already hurting,to pick up the calls,or to creat a payed department. Not only will that hurt the money book, but also families that need help, but will have less resources coming or extended respomce times. Redoing my uncle's deck do to 1 inch gaps. Notice how starting from the house to the yard, the boards become misaligned after I redid them at 1/4 in dry? This is what happens when leaving a 1/4 in spacing when boards are wet ( they shrink). After putting them at correct spacing we were left with a 5 in gap and a 4 in gap to fill in.

As of today , I can build you a 8' economy picnic table. Everything white wood except legs being treated. 2*8 boards for top. Total of $400 non delivered. additional for a paint job. Or I can get price for all treated. Pricing as I go
