Today’s project was the reinstalling of restored sashes in a circa 1842 A.J. Davis-designed former schoolhouse. The sash weights were the skinniest I’ve ever seen. About one inch in diameter. Dainty.

Winter is coming! (Even though it’s a balmy 61 degrees here in lower Rensselaer County. 95% of storm window installations go relatively smoothly, but sometimes there is a real head-scratcher and we need to re-template.
Anyway, it’s a lovely day to be working outside on the river.
