Toledo native Ron Gabel joined two former business associates who founded VM Systems in 1973. In a short five years Ron bought out these partners and took over the business. VM Systems has grown from its fifteen employees to average around one hundred and has expanded it’s shop several times over the years. Ron’s basic principle: “Keep good workers working.” Since his retirement in 2012, Ron’s son

Our mission statement: “As a sheet metal contractor, VM Systems is committed to providing our customers with timely service and exceptional quality in all aspects of the industry. This is accomplished by continually investing in the latest technology and through the employment of trained union mechanics. By utilizing these methods we hope to expand our business and continue the sheet metal tradition.” This mission statement rings true throughout our divisions, HVAC, Architectural, Industrial, Duct Services, and Custom Fabrication.

The privilege and pride that we take for our community and future is unmatched. Today we accepted the invitation from Mr. Keith Dawson and Dr. Durant to join them in the Toledo Public Schools “Next Step.” Two of our fresh TPS graduates and current Sheet Metal apprentices had the opportunity to show off what they have learned in the past few months. The mentoring that Mr. Dawson has done for the students at TPS is truly remarkable. We look forward to furthering our partnership in the future.
