Long day of spray foam insulation in this 20x 50 solarium addition. R-38 in the vaulted ceiling and R-21 in the walls. With this much glass are you need the best insulation.
Thanks to Kim Lake Schmitt for taking one of her only vacation days to help this old guy out. !!

Some days are tougher than others to get to work. Dan Schmitt had to climb up a ladder to a roof then though a window, down a narrow hallway freshly painted, to get to the area that had to be Spray Foamed. The wall has a leak that damaged the plywood sheathing. The exterior is finished stone and no way to replace the sheeting. The leak had been fixed soSpray Foam Insulation is a perfect fit and resolves all issues from damage. !!

Advantages of unvented crawl spaces
Unvented (sealed) crawl spaces:
• Stay dryer than vented crawl spaces;
• Protect pipes from freezing;
• Require less insulation than vented crawl spaces (since the area of the perimeter walls is less than the area of the crawl space ceiling); and
• Bring ducts within the conditioned envelope of the home — an improvement that usually results in energy savings compared to vented crawl spaces.

What's in your crawl ?
You never know what mite get into your homes crawl space and make it their home. Tearing things up to make nest and leave you with it's nasty business.
After the critter has been evicted and we put in a new sealed v***r barrier then Spray Foam Insulation on the walls, your home is better than new and warmer.
