Codan was given the opportunity by ScottRod Racing recently to rehab there new to them, but older flywheel grinder machine that they will use as a clutch grinder for there top fuel drag car! We always enjoy checking out what Scott and Michelle are up to in the ScottRod shop! If you don't know about them be sure to check out there page! They post videos quite often to give you inside looks of what its like to be a Top Fuel drag car racing team, and they are phenomenal people.
The old motor wires were completely deteriorated. The windings were inspected, and we megged the motor which checked out! We reinstalled some new rated wires and got the motor rehooked up into the existing control box with some new metallic seal tight to protect the new wiring. We ran some new feeders to a phase converter to create some 3 phase power with some power distribution to feed the grinder.
