ATTENTION!!! To all Contractors, if you are owed payments from your clients and you do your due diligence and place a mechanical lien...BEWARE!!!
You are not secure, we had to find out the hard way! There are bond companies and title companies out there that will bond on the lien and clear the property title so they can sell the house without paying you a penny.
Now, we have to seek our legal counsel and fight for the money we are already owed.
The Bond doesn't clear them from the lien, but it clears the property. I feel this is extremely scandalous!!
