Some brand new flags are ready for their new home. Will yours be one of them?
Are you or someone you know proud to be an American? Of course you are! I know I am! And I just love making these beautiful, hand crafted works of art that display just how proud I am of that fact. After several years of making these, I've finally narrowed in the perfect flag that anyone would be proud to display in their homes.
Gone are the painted white stars, in fact, not a single drop of paint was harmed in the making of this flag. All the colors are stained from custom mixes we had our local Ace hardware mix up for us. Highly recommend Ace for my paints and stains. Make sure to tell Susette hi if that's where you get your paints. She is amazing at mixing paints and stains.
Each and every flag is built with wooden stars that gives it that extra "pop" and 3D look. Every star is glued in place with extra strong glue. I have not had one fall off yet. They are on there to stay.... just like America!
Gone are the D ring hooks for measuring and and missing the wall studs and having a bunch of holes in the wall trying to find the stud (you know you've done that too, it's not just me). and than fumbling around trying to get the screw head into those D rings that just don't want to play fair.
Instead, we introduced the French cleat system into the installation on these works of art. After all, you don't want it to fall and hurt someone. I'm fairly confident if it does fall, it's solid enough to withstand the fall, but that's not how we designed it. How does the French cleat system work? Take one half of the system, find your studs (don't worry, your mistake holes will be covered by the cleat, nobody will even know if your wall looks like a slice of Swiss cheese), level the piece you pit on the wall. The other half of the cleat is already installed on the backside of the flag. Attach the 2 pieces, and BAM your done. Isn't that much much easier? I thought so too!
These flags measure in at:
37.75 inches wide
21 inches tall
2.25 inches deep
All constructed from pine? Some people don't like pine and call it the "subpar" wood and doesn't measure up to others like oak, maple, walnut, or other hardwoods. But how can you say that with how gorgeous the grain of the pine just screams WOW.
These flags are listed at $180. If you were to search on sites like etsy and other maker markets, you would discover this price is far far far underpriced compared to those you'd find. Is it more than the other $50-75 flags you find on marketplace? Absolutely! But you'll discover that the attention to detail and the amount of love and care that goes into these far surpasses those cheaper ones you find. Those are, "yup, I got a flag" flag. These are, "HOLY COW, I GOT A FLAG!" Flag.
Please don't hesitate. Christmas is coming up fast and these are gonna make a great gift. This is the gift that everyone will put down there gifts to come check out yours. They are that amazing! Trust me. I want to keep every single one I build,, they are that amazing. and each one Is different in their own special way.
