❄️ Winter Concrete Care Tips from DeMac Concrete ❄️
As the colder weather sets in, here are a few important reminders to help protect your concrete through the winter months:
⭐ All deicers increase the freeze/thaw cycle and are detrimental!
The only safe material we recommend for skid resistance is plain sand.
1️⃣ Remove snow and ice promptly to help minimize the freeze/thaw cycle that can damage concrete.
2️⃣ Use sand for traction—it’s safe for concrete and won’t cause surface damage like many deicers can.
3️⃣ If you choose to use a deicer, follow the manufacturer’s instructions carefully and avoid overapplying. Once ice is broken up, be sure to shovel or plow away the slush to prevent refreezing.
4️⃣ Avoid deicing chemicals during the first winter after new concrete has been installed.
5️⃣ Never use deicers containing ammonium sulfate or ammonium nitrate or rock salt—these chemicals/ products aggressively deteriorate concrete.
Keeping up with these simple winter care steps will help maintain the strength and appearance of your concrete for years to come. Stay safe and warm this season! ❄️🧤

We are looking for some laborers to join our team. No experience needed but previous construction experience a plus.
Job duties include: prepping construction site by digging, moving dirt, wheelbarrowing concrete and compacting dirt.
Must have a valid driver's license. Responsible and dependable.
Must be able to work outdoors in a mixture of weather conditions.
