⛏️Structural Floor Stabilization & Reinforcement ⛏️

When a homeowner experienced severe first-floor wood truss deflection—up to 2 inches, causing mending plates to fail—Hale Built Group partnered with one of our trusted engineering firms for a precise, engineered solution.

Our team installed shoring poles to support both the basement and first floor, carefully lifted and leveled the beams, and reinforced the system by sistering both sides of the wood trusses. To further strengthen the floor assembly, we glued and screwed ¾” plywood to the existing trusses, restoring integrity, stability, and peace of mind. 🔨Commercial Stabilization 🔨

When a commercial building in Madison, NJ began showing serious foundation issues, Hale Built Group stepped in to restore safety and structural integrity.

Failing brick piers in the basement were compromising the building’s support system. Our Foundation Department first shored up the existing girders using our shoring poles, ensuring the structure remained stable throughout the repair process. We then removed 22 failing brick piers and replaced them with six 6” square steel columns, custom‑fabricated in our shop and installed with top and bottom plates for long‑term strength.

🏗️ Condo Stabilization: Phase 1 Shoring 🏗️

When a Hoboken condominium association faced serious structural concerns, Hale Built Group stepped in to make the building safe—fast and effectively.

The rear of the building featured four levels of concrete and steel terraces that had settled due to failing vertical columns. Our team executed Phase 1 shoring, stabilizing the bottom level and all four terrace levels to ensure safety while we cut out and replaced five compromised columns.

🚧 Behind the Scenes: Before This Home Ever Hit the Water 🚧

Before this Surf City home ever made its journey across the bay, there was a lot happening behind the scenes. From staging and structural prep to engineering, logistics, and coastal timing, this project required careful planning long before the barge was in motion.

This home was loaded onto a barge on 4th Street in Surf City as part of a Long Beach Island house recycling operation—saving it from demolition and setting it up for a second life. Navigating tight conditions and tidal windows takes experience, precision, and a crew that understands the challenges unique to waterfront moves.

On a recent new construction & underpinning project, Hale Built Group delivered serious ground support using (5) SS150 – RS2875.276 Combo Helical Piers engineered for performance and durability. Each pier featured an 8/10-x-5’ Rock‑It lead section with 7’ of extensions, achieving a total depth of 14 feet, and was finished with a heavy‑duty underpinning bracket to ensure proper load transfer and long‑term stability.

🏗️ Foundation Wall Stabilization 🏗️

When foundation walls show signs of movement, long-term stability is non‑negotiable. Hale Built Group was brought in to design and install a proven stabilization system that reinforces the structure from the ground up.

Our scope included micropiles with beam brackets to support vertical loads, paired with helical tieback anchors to address lateral pressure on the wall. Each pile features an 8/10/12 x 7' lead section with 14' of extensions, fully grouted inside a 4" steel‑cased grout column for maximum performance—reaching a total depth of 21 feet. All piles were completed with threaded adapters for a secure, engineered finish.

🌊 Seaside Heights Stability Project 🌊

Coastal homes face unique challenges—and this Seaside Heights property was no exception. Settlement had occurred due to soil conditions that, while suitable for bearing, were susceptible to scour and long-term instability.

Hale Built Group stepped in with a permanent solution, installing (20) SS5 helical piles to underpin the home from the exterior. Our team excavated down to the bottom of the existing concrete footing and installed each pile to a depth of 15 feet, complete with standard underpinning brackets, T-pipe, and wedge anchors—all accessed from the crawlspace area.
The result? A stabilized foundation built to withstand harsh coastal conditions for years to come. Another solid home secured by Hale Built Group.
