A horrific rumor is going around, so let me set the record straight. I had to let someone go back in June. He reached out to me recently, and I believe it was to ask for his old job back. I didn’t respond. So, last Monday I got an alert that someone had posted a Google review. It was two stars, and something I feel was done out of spite. For those of you who went on Google to review my business, he was the first review up there. It has since been taken down.
So yesterday, I discover a vicious rumor being spread on the neighbor section of Ring. It stated that I had purposely run over a cat. No video, no still pictures, just hurtful words, naming my company. As a sidenote, I have been using my personal truck the past couple months, because my other one is in need of repairs. So, there is no signage or anything on my truck or trailer.
It snowballed out of control quickly. A woman, horrified by what she saw, took a screenshot of it, and posted it all over Facebook. It escalated quickly from that point.
Please, understand that this did not happen. No animals have been hurt.
The post has since been taken down, as well as the original post on Facebook. However, people seem to be screen shotting it, and continue to spread misinformation.
This did not happen. It is such a shame to see everybody jump on the bandwagon, in a blind rage, without knowing all the facts. If somebody actually did this, I would be posting right alongside you. I also went to the police station yesterday, and gave them the information. I would think if this really happened, they would have been very interested to talk to me. But they didn’t say anything. (Because it did NOT happen)
Please remember, that there is a human being on the other side of that post. I work hard to provide for my family, and tarnishing my reputation over a falsehood is just plain sad. please question something before believing it. The ring post was done anonymously, with comments turned off. Basically, this man said something about my company, but took away my voice to respond.
