John is a huge part of what makes the Falk Architects team so strong. When he isn't busy "Designing YOUR Dreams" or mastering the latest Revit models, he’s likely catching up on the latest movies or diving into a 3D printing project.

Falk Architects has turned 10!

A decade ago we opened our doors with zero clients, just a laptop, a $50 per month rented desk, a ton of professional liability insurance and a belief that we could make a positive impact on our local communities.

10 years later, we've grown to a staff of 12 extremely talented full time designers and professionals, 2 part time design interns, 2 office locations (Topeka and Kansas City), over a one hundred projects annually, and a very strong core of amazing repeat clients!

We're grateful to our families, friends, collaborators and clients who trusted us, challenged us, and helped us to grow. And to our team-thanks for bringing the talent, the persistence, and just the right amount of personality every day.

Ten years down, plenty more to go!

We're excited to share our design concept for an indoor soccer facility! Our goal was to create a dynamic, light-filled space with a striking arched ceiling to inspire athletes and spectators alike.

Featuring an 8-foot diameter custom cast concrete ring with color-changing LED lighting on the interior, the Portal is designed to be interactive—inviting people to touch, explore, and even climb on. It is now the focal point of a newly designed pocket park, which includes 2x2x2 limestone blocks arranged in a circular pattern, native plantings and grasses, a concrete plinth for the sculpture, and a surrounding concrete surface. We’re proud to have added another engaging and artistic spot to the Manhattan community.
