B&M Electric Fully licensed and insured residential and commercial electricians, serving the South Bay. Slowly they started getting busier by word of mouth referrals.

B&M Electric was started by a farther & son team, Bill & Mike Bishop, over 30 years ago. They were both electricians for large companies and they would do side jobs together for family and friends. They got to a point that they were busy enough to leave their full time jobs and work for themselves by starting B&M Electric. In 1989 Mike Bishop hired Charles Vargas and was a great teacher & mentor. 14 Years later, in 2003, Mike Bishop retired and Charles Vargas purchased the company. Today it is still our goal to treat all of our clients like family by providing the best customer service and price. This is what happens when a circuit draws more current than it's rated for over a period of time, causing the wiring or breaker to heat up. It's your panel's built-in way of protecting your home, the breaker trips before things get dangerous.

If a specific breaker trips every time you run the same combination of appliances, that's thermal overload doing its job.

Our brave employee is making waves, and not just at work! 😂🦈

B&M Electric’s own Ken Akutagawa has been making headlines after a shark was spotted swimming near surfers and paddleboarders in Manhattan Beach, California.

Talk about an unexpected day on the water! We’re glad Ken is safe. Looks like he’s staying cool under pressure both on and off the job. 😂⚡
