Was a pleasure doing the site dirt work for these guys in Big Flats NY for a 30' x 30' garage with a 30' x 10' lean-to. Moved, relocated, trucked in and compacted around 1,000 ton of fill material, customer wanted the lean-to on the lower side.

This project was definitely a challenge, from start to finish. Rain, more rain, then more rain, multiple natural springs on the project, mud, more mud, 10+ inches of soil on top of clay and rock. Cut 30+ dead ash trees, removed stumps and piled for firewood, cut the back bank back 15 feet and sloped another 30 feet, moved all the dirt material to the front to fill in and sloped. Added more diversion ditching, one drain pipe and 2 French style drains under one gravel pad, made 3 gravel pads 2 for carports and one for a shed, as seen in one picture I dug a one bucket hole and within an hour it had filled with water. In rough figures I moved, graded and leveled over 300 ton of dirt and rock, 45 tons of new topsoil, 45 tons of 2B stone, 5 ton of 2A gravel and a pile of debris that was left from the original ground work to place the cabin.

Current job I'm on, I'm definitely no video maker and hate talking on camera but I gave it a try. I probably don't use the proper terminology but all I do know is work ethic, this definitely beats being someone's b*tch in the factory life.

With this beautiful rather moist weather, how many have realized the gutters and down spouts on your property are probably full or plugged just waiting to collect ice after all the leaves have fallen. Including flat rubber roofs with drains. Yes, we do that...
