🧺 Sometimes a little creativity can save a customer a lot of money.

This homeowner wanted a new laundry sink installed in the basement, but the existing drain was just a little too high for the sink they picked.

One option would have been to install a laundry pump, run new piping, and bring in an electrician to provide power for it — adding hundreds of dollars to what should be a pretty straightforward project.

Instead, we built a custom pedestal to raise the sink just enough to work with the existing gravity drain.

The result? A clean, functional laundry sink installation, no pump, no electrician, and hundreds of dollars saved.

Sometimes the best solution isn’t the most complicated one — it’s figuring out how to make what’s already there work.

🔥 Sick of running out of hot water? This customer definitely was.

Their old 50-gallon electric water heater just wasn’t cutting it for the demands of the house, so we gave them a serious upgrade — an 80-gallon electric water heater with an outlet mixing valve.

Here’s where the mixing valve makes a big difference: with the tank storing water at 140°F and the valve mixing it down to 120°F, that 80-gallon tank can provide roughly 103 gallons of usable 120°F hot water.*

That’s more than DOUBLE the usable hot water they had before. 💪💧

Now there’s enough capacity to take a shower, run the dishwasher, and do a load of laundry without everyone fighting over who gets the hot water.

Big win for this homeowner before the sale of their home. 💧🏠

This water heater developed an issue, but instead of the customer getting stuck paying for a full replacement, we were able to work through the manufacturer warranty and get the unit replaced.

A reminder that kindness still exists. ❤️

This afternoon I received the message below from a person who was helping there elderly neighbor. Three years ago she suffered a stroke and has struggled to communicate ever since. She had been without hot water for nearly four weeks and was also dealing with a major leak in her basement.

When I read the message, I knew it couldn’t wait.

We rearranged the schedule and were at her home within three hours. A short time later, the leak was addressed and her hot water was back up and running And the leak was fixed.

But this post isn’t really about plumbing.

It’s about a neighbor who cared enough to check in.

In a world that often feels divided, rushed, and disconnected, this is what community looks like. Someone noticed another person was struggling and decided to do something about it. No cameras. No recognition. Just genuine concern for another human being.

Whether your neighbors are elderly, young, living alone, or simply going through a tough time, take a few minutes to check on them. Knock on a door. Make a phone call. Ask if they need anything.

The truth is, the world might seem like a crazy place sometimes, but our communities don’t have to be. If more people knew their neighbors, looked out for one another, and stepped up when someone needed help, this world would be a much better place.

Today, hot water was restored.
