When we’re not inspecting homes, we’re renovating them. 🛠️
This front porch roof was originally designed with a scuttle drain system, but over time it began leaking into the roof structure and caused significant rot. The moisture completely deteriorated the main support beam holding the porch roof rafters.
We started the restoration today and are also redesigning the roof system. The new design will feature a shed-style roof with an exterior gutter and downspout system, making future maintenance and potential leaks much easier to monitor and manage.
Excited to bring new life back to this old home while preserving its character.
