Meet the Manitou Sustainable Landscaping team. 🌱
🌱 Jill Norris is the heart and soul behind this small-but-mighty eco-centric landscaping business. Her love for the natural world is palpable in all her projects. When it comes to landscaping, Jill has a long view, working closely with her clients to create thriving ecosystems that benefit local wildlife and people for generations to come. In order to accomplish this, Jill sources native plants, shrubs, and trees from some of the best native nurseries in Michigan, and uses those plants to accentuate the natural beauty of each landscaping site.
🌱 Luca is returning for his 5th season of landscaping with Manitou. His work ethic, personality, and knowledge of the natural world make him a stellar teammate.
🌱 Miles is also returning for his 5th season with Manitou. He is meticulous when it comes to planting trees and is an outstanding crew lead on large landscaping installations. We are grateful to have his help on the big projects.
🌱 Now 18 years old, O.C. (Orange Cat) has officially taken on the role of ‘project manager’. He is smart-as-a-whip and very assertive, making sure we load up the right plants, tools, and other necessary equipment for each landscaping project.
🌱 Like O.C., Simon is also 18 and now old enough to work for the family business. His primary job is to make sure the squirrels don’t bother the plants in the project staging area.
🌱 Last, but definitely not least, is Bella. She’s is 18 years old as well, but has been ‘working’ for Manitou for years. Bella oversees all business operations that happen on the computer: emails, orders, landscaping designs, proposals, invoicing, and research. As soon as she hears the laptop open, Bella knows it’s time to work; she’ll appear out of nowhere to make sure all computer duties are performed to the highest standards.
As you can tell, we take our work seriously but we also like to have fun while doing it. We look forward to helping you plan, design, install, and maintain a native plant landscape that will bring you joy and nourish local wildlife for years to come. 🌱
