Some people organize with folders. Ronda organizes with floor space. 😂

You know she’s in the office when you hear the stacks of paperwork coming out. Soon there’s a maze on the floor, and while the rest of us see an obstacle course, Ronda sees progress.

She joined Michigan Gutters shortly after we opened. She can’t remember the exact year, but ask her about a number in QuickBooks and you’ll probably get a much more precise answer.

She handles accounts payable, accounts receivable, and pretty much everything QuickBooks. If it has to do with QuickBooks, it has to do with Ronda.

She also handles our vehicle fleet, because apparently keeping track of the money wasn’t enough. We gave her things with wheels, too.

Her workday fuel? Microwave popcorn and Diet Coke. Her dream superpower? A magic wand that finishes all her work with one wave. If she finds one, the rest of the office would like to borrow it. Preferably before Monday.

This Customer Service Week, we’re celebrating our Traverse City native who’s been here since the early days, keeping track of the numbers and all the paperwork that comes with them.

Thanks, Ronda! We’d come over and tell you in person, but we’re still figuring out the route to your desk.

Meet Heather—our Executive Assistant, Company Nerd, and entire IT department. She celebrates nine years at Michigan Gutters on October 13!

Heather helps people find us online through website updates, SEO, online advertising, and social media. Then she answers the phone when they do. Most people would call that a successful marketing strategy. Heather calls it, “Hang on, my phone’s ringing.” 😂

She also handles reports, job costing, fixing printers, and whatever else comes her way. After nine years, “Ask Heather” is less of a suggestion and more of a company procedure.

Her favorite part of the job is figuring things out—especially improving systems, finding efficiencies, and automating reports. If there’s an easier way to do something, she wants to find it. If there isn’t, give her a Pepsi Zero and a little time.

She loves seeing a report run automatically. It’s like watching someone else do your chores, except they don’t complain or ask where the vacuum is.

Heather works in the dark, by choice. She’s busy helping Michigan Gutters show up on Google while making absolutely no effort to show up under the overhead lights.

And yes, she’s the whole IT department. When something starts working the moment she walks over, she’ll accept the credit. No need to investigate further.

This week, we’re thanking Heather for helping our customers, improving how we work, and enjoying the figuring-it-out part that makes the rest possible.

Gordon, Tameurah, Mitch, and Lyndon installed 242 feet of 5-inch K-style gutter and six downspouts to show it the way.

Added Alu-Rex DoublePro, too, because apparently leaves think every gutter is an Airbnb. Reservation denied. 🍂

Every office has someone who gets tagged in everything. At Michigan Gutters, that’s Joe. 😂

Hiring question? Joe.
Benefits question? Joe.
Need a gutter cleaning quote? Also Joe.
Something needs organizing? Joe was probably already organizing it.

As our HR Executive, Cleaning Division Manager, and part of our sales team, Joe handles everything from interviews and attendance to quoting and scheduling cleanings. We’d list it all, but he’d probably want us to put it in alphabetical order.

His favorite part of the job is keeping everything organized and tracked. A completed checklist? That’s Joe’s version of a spa day.

He runs on coffee and ketones—and outside of work, he’s a marathon canoe racer. Apparently, after spending all week keeping us in line, he relaxes by paddling competitively for miles. We have different definitions of “taking it easy.”

This Customer Service Week, we’re thanking Joe for all the work he does for our employees and customers.

If you see him, give him a thank-you! Just know that “while I have you…” does count as a work request. 😂.
