I have had the privilege of refinishing 1200 square feet and a full stair case of 124-year-old Maple wood flooring. The process involved sanding with progressively finer grits, from 60-grit-100 grit belt sander to 50-100 grit edger then using both a hydra sand and Palm sander 80 grit mesh and 120 grit mesh. As a solo worker, this project presented a significant challenge, trying to do a larger project and give that touch of art to it while trying to run the administrative side which we are working on that as I bring on a admin soon. but I am committed to delivering exceptional results for my clients. Despite the delay in completion by few days for add on work and amount of work, I am excited to reveal the finished product, and I will be posting before and after pictures once the final two coats of finish have been applied.

Let's transform the space with 900 sq.ft. of 5-inch character-grade red oak solid 3/4” unfinished. Currently, I am meticulously removing any damaged boards from shipping when the pallet shifted during shipping and excessive character removing those boards to achieve a character red oak wood floor that has that wow factor. Excited to start to secure the floor with our Bona R540 moisture barrier roll on liquid v***r barrier and Bona Quantum Adhesive every 16 inches per NWFA, along with 2-inch L cleats for securing onto the subfloor, following NWFA guidelines for nailing patterns and Bona training and guidelines for use of there products for wide plank 3 1/4” or wider needs glue assist up to 7” wide we full trowel glue and clear assist. This prevents buckling in the boards where middle of boards hump up. Also allows floor to still expand and contract without fracturing the boards like liquid nails will do. Stay tuned for progress updates on the staircase and landing as well.

Some before and after pictures of a project, I just wrapped up roughly 1000 ft.² of 2 1/4 inch wide three-quarter inch solid, red and white oak mixed number one and number two grade added on new unfinished, matching hardwood flooring in the kitchen and hallway and repairs in the master bedroom Client went with Bona Dri Fast Early American, with two top coats of Bona mega one extra matte. Very happy with how this project turned out very happy with the color choice. The Client went with happy with how the old floor blends with the new floor. You can’t even tell. Looks all original this year has been a very amazing year have had very many amazing clients to work for, this is another one so blessed to have such great clients and be able to work on projects that test my skills and nearly 20 years of experience in this craft of hardwood floor refinishing and installation. Onto the next project now.

7 year old refinished red oak floor recently dustless refinished and stained Bona Jacobean with 2 coats of Bona Mega One extra matte. Pics just show the sanding, stain and with one coat of finish on. Had a lot off bevel to sand out to take flat but worth it and clients love the floor, great clients contribute to me being able to focus on my craft and deliver a great floor.
