If you’ve seen tire marks in your yard or your neighbors yard, it’s a good sign that your yard needs more water!

We have had 20+ days over 100° (and too many more to come) this year as opposed to 7 days last year. 😱

☀️So the BIG question is…

💦HOW MUCH SHOULD I BE WATERING MY ESTABLISHED LAWN?💦

Right now we're at the peak watering range: 1.25 to 1.5 inches per week total, rainfall included. Deep watering 1-2 times per week to push moisture 6-8 inches into the root zone, targeting 1 to 1.5 inches per week combined.
In our area we are on two-day restrictions, so that's ~0.6-0.75" per watering day.

Translated to runtimes:
• MP Rotators (~0.4 in/hr): 90-110 min per zone per day → three cycles of 30-35 min
• Spray Heads (~1.5 in/hr): 25-30 min per day → three cycles of 8-10 min
• Rotors (~0.5 in/hr): 75-90 min per day → three cycles of 25-30 min
***Soak intervals 30 min between cycles when possible

You may also want to hand water any areas that are showing signs of stress.

*Use this as a guideline. Monitor and make adjustments as needed. Every yard has different slopes, low spots, and varies in sun exposure. 817-808-8586
