Lily has been wanting to go under a house with me ever since I started Steadfast Plumbing. My wallet slipped out of my pocket while hanging some pipe. I got home and realized I didn't have it. This morning she asked if she could come, and finally go under a house with me. We quickly found my wallet and grabbed a few pictures.

She's the best.

One battle after another, is a great way to describe the job we just completed.

Customer recently purchased a manufactured home and has been remodeling it. He picked out the shower system and we installed it.

Although we had several challenges, we never took the easy way out.

A.C. ducts in the way of our drains and vents, walls being inconsistent sizes (2x3 wall transitioning to a 2x4 wall) Removing flooring without puncturing existing lines.

Customer ended up trimming out the shower and redoing the floor.

I think the before and after speaks for itself.

This house had been remodeled recently.However the old sewer line was original to the house. After running a camera down the line we determined several large root systems had destroyed the clay sewer line.

Several challenges presented themselves during this job, the original sewer line was over 5 feet deep and passed under a retaining wall.

Due to the depth of the line,we located where the sewer exited from the house and tied into that, making it more accessible while following the natural grade of the back yard.

Luckily the homeowner had left approximately 1 foot of dirt next to his concrete porch and house. Although that section had to be dug by hand, it prevented unnecessary removal of any concrete.

There was no access to the backyard except through the garage, we had to remove the canopy from the excavator in order for it to fit.

Pressured washed the customers back porch to remove any mud or debris, and backfilled.

Grateful for the challenge, and having a crew that doesn't take shortcuts.

We had a great opportunity to run some water lines for an industrial company recently. Overhead approximately 20 feet, isolation valves installed for minimal downtime.

As this winter storm approaches we'd like to share a few quick tips.

Disconnect your water hose from your hose bib and insulate it as well as possible. If you can't find a cover, a towel and some duct tape will work wonders.

Let your tubs, kitchen faucets, etc drip, especially those near outside walls. A high water bill is still usually less expensive than having to call a plumber.

PEX piping is resilient but it is not bulletproof. There is a common misconception that PEX will not bust when it freezes. That unfortunately is untrue, do your best to insulate any exposed piping, including PEX .

In 2021 a lot of outdoor tankless units froze and busted. Most tankless heaters have ceramic "heaters" attached to the water lines inside of the unit. However if you lose power they will not be able to heat up. If this happens I recommend opening up your hot side of a fixture in the house to allow the water to move to prevent freezing from occurring.

We are a small local company and will do our absolute best to take care of y'all. If we are unable to get out to you at a reasonable time I have several great local companies that I can recommend.

As the ice starts to melt, pipes that have busted or cracked will become apparent. Give us a call and we will take care of you as quickly as possible.
