More HiRes audio equipment from about to find its way to new homes.

Proper tunes really help the long days on the road be more enjoyable. If you own a sprinter van with a factory audio system, chances are you either do listen to it or have a Bluetooth speaker on board. Either way in factory form it’s pretty much unbearable.

Making some off grid power on the Oregon coast!

This is our standard off grid living package. This set up has 20 kWh of lithium storage
3.4 kW of solar
5kW victron inverter
And 2 separate 250/70 controllers for each set of 4 panels for a bit of redundancy.
And of course, everything is monitored on a sweet Victron touchscreen

Our new 800 amp hour 50 inch power system available for sprinter and transits is in the works! And you may notice all of our newest systems will be powered by batteries and components!

This system will be charged by a second alternator and be regulated by and monitored by a Touch 70 touchscreen.

Another one of our ultimate solution packages is wrapping up! This set up is going to look killer in the reclaimed wood finish our client picked out. This 4x4 sprinter van will even have a heated floor and all the components are indeed nestled into this package. This truly is the ultimate solution.

Another Happy Off Grid Customer! Last week we cruised out to the Columbia River Gorge and installed one of our plug and play solar set ups. We also upgraded the existing solar set up with brand new Victron controllers and a new inverter with plans to upgrade the batteries before winter. With the new solar array, they are up and rocking!

Currently this set up is only utilizing 100 amp hours at 24 volts. With the new batteries they will have 400 amp hours at 24 volts and we will not be taking up much more footprint than the current single battery.

A few weeks ago we had the opportunity to install a 12 V air conditioning unit In a sweet Mode 4x4

On top of lowering the overall height of the van (the original need was to fit it in the garage) this customer now has an AC unit that can run without the inverter on. We also installed a remote start set up that is automatically triggered based upon specified battery voltage, and we of course added a storage switch to the dash to ensure it would not remote start when the customer did not want it to.

We built a sweet little aluminum bracket to house two DC/DC converter’s that power up the air conditioning unit. Somehow we managed to find enough space within the factory power system enclosure to make it all happen!

How it left our shop vs how it came in!

This is a prime example how tight we are able to package our power systems. This customer was gung ho on starting the project, but quickly discovered that there was more to getting a power system up and running then the provided schematic made it appear.

Now the system is fully programmed operational! On top of handling the power system re build we were able to pre-wire the entire van for all of the consumption circuits including the fridge, fans, 12 volt ports, usb ports, lights, and all the 120v ac circuits. While we had the van we were also able install a gasoline espar 4kw heater.

This particular set of customers traveled all the way up from California and left three days later with all of this handled and up and running! It’s always nice to see the rejuvenation and excitement for the project after getting over a major hurdle.

This transit needed a bit of system love. The customer was having charging issues and never felt the system performed as it should. As we dove into it we found numerous things we did not like and found it easier to start over than to chase gremlins. While we were at it we were able to condense the entire system to behind the wheel well and opened up a bunch more safer storage in front of the well.

In addition to rearranging the system, we added a few new features as well. It now has a battery management system and a running all the switchable circuits.

Now that the batteries are balanced and are charging and discharging at the same rate the system will be doing it’s job much more efficiently. This new set up should be a bit easier to troubleshoot and diagnose in the future as well.

Another Solar powered camper is up and running! We installed a 450 watt system on this unit as well while we were in California. We also managed to stash our solar controller and breaker set up right next to the distribution center. When you put the drawer back in you can’t even tell that we were here!
