🚨 STOP USING SALT ON YOUR CONCRETE 🚨

Missouri winters are brutal —
salt just makes it worse ❄️🧂

Salt melts ice fast…
but it slowly destroys concrete through cracking, flaking, and scaling — especially during Missouri’s freeze-thaw cycles.

⚠️ New concrete (under 1 year old) is most at risk

🧂 DEICERS — WORST TO BEST

🚫 Rock Salt = most damaging
⚠️ Calcium & Magnesium Chloride = still risky
✅ Best options:
• CMA (Calcium Magnesium Acetate)
• Potassium Acetate
• Sand for traction (zero damage)

✔️ Use sand or concrete-safe deicers
✔️ Seal concrete every 2–3 years
✔️ Skip salt on new pours
