This past Sunday, Utica Community Schools officially celebrated the grand opening of the newly transformed Graebner Elementary School!



It was an exciting day filled with students, families, educators, and community members coming together to experience a space designed to support learning, connection, and the future of the Utica community.

We’re proud to have been part of bringing this vision to life alongside Utica Community Schools and our project partners. From thoughtful learning environments to spaces that foster collaboration and belonging, every detail was designed with students and educators at the center.

A new era has officially begun at Swinehart Stadium!

We’re proud to have played a part in bringing this exciting new chapter to life for Utica Community Schools and its students, athletes, families, and community. From design to game day, it’s incredibly rewarding to see the vision for this space become a reality.

As students return to classrooms across Michigan, we want to recognize the educators, leaders, facilities teams and staff who make the start of a new school year possible.

Opening day reflects months of leadership, preparation and collaboration. From shaping educational priorities to completing summer construction, maintenance and last-minute details, every decision contributes to creating safe, welcoming environments where students and educators can thrive.

At IDS, we design learning environments, but it is the people within them who transform those spaces into dynamic teaching and learning experiences.

Today, we celebrated the ribbon cutting of Stadium Hall at Ferris State University!

Our team partnered with Ferris State University to design this four-story, 282-bed residence hall at Top Taggart Field, creating a new student living experience directly overlooking the stadium.

Stadium Hall is a great example of what can happen through beginning-to-end collaboration. Through close partnership with Ferris State University, the project thoughtfully brings together student life, athletics, and campus identity to create a place that strengthens connection and community.

The University of Michigan will add 2,300 student beds to Central Campus this month with the opening of Wolverine Village, a new residential community developed around the idea that where students live impacts how well they connect, study and succeed on campus.

Exciting to see the newly rebuilt Swinehart Stadium come to life! We’re proud to have been part of this project and can’t wait to share more from the ribbon cutting.

Utica Community Schools is set to open its newly rebuilt Swinehart Stadium on Sunday after more than a year of construction and nearly $17 million in upgrades funded by a voter-approved bond.

CHAMPIONS!

History was made as the SquIDS captured their first-ever Building Arts Softball League Championship!

This victory is about more than a trophy. It's a testament to teamwork, dedication, perseverance, and the culture we continue to build together. Throughout the season, our team showed up for one another, put in the work, and never lost sight of the goal. That commitment paid off in an unforgettable championship win last night.

Congratulations to everyone who played, cheered from the sidelines, and supported the team all season long. A special thank you to Coach Gondek for your leadership, encouragement, and commitment throughout the season.
