The recent tragedies here in Truckee have touched our community in ways that are hard to put into words. In a town like ours, these things aren’t distant — they ripple through families, friendships, job sites, schools, and quiet neighborhoods.

We want to simply say: we are holding deep compassion for everyone personally impacted. For the families navigating unimaginable grief. For the friends and first responders. For the neighbors carrying shock, sadness, and questions.

Truckee is strong, but strength doesn’t mean we don’t feel. It means we show up for one another.

2025: A Year of Adjustment, Alignment & Thriving 🌲
After an intense and expansive 2024, 2025 invited us into something different — refinement, resilience, and right-sizing.

This year marked an important shift. Aimee is now an independent Project Manager through Piress Project ManagementProject Management, working exclusively alongside Duke and Becker Construction Group. Together, we’ve transitioned to an owner-only model — no employees, just experienced hands and clear communication.

Running lean has given us freedom:
• Flexibility to take on smaller projects and repairs
• More availability for our neighbors
• Less stress, more balance
• High-quality work without the overhead
And most importantly — we’ve adjusted and we are thriving.

We are deeply grateful for our community, our customers, and our Tahoe Donner neighbors who continue to trust us with their homes. Your support allows us to do this work in a way that’s sustainable, grounded, and aligned with the lives we’re building.

2024 was a big year.
Multiple full-home remodels.
A full garage renovation.
A complete ADU build-out from the ground up.
And the repair of severe water damage that required precision, patience, and trust.
We started the year with a full crew — and by mid-summer, we were down to one.
Still double-booked. Still committed. Still showing up.
Thanks to Duke’s decades of experience, steady leadership, and deep expertise as a union carpenter and bridge builder, we pulled it off. Every detail mattered. Every decision counted. And every project crossed the finish line with care and integrity intact.
This year taught us powerful lessons about adaptability, resilience, and what’s possible when skill meets heart. We’re incredibly proud of the work completed, grateful for the clients who trusted us with their homes, and energized by everything we learned along the way.
Here’s to the big builds, the hard moments, and the growth that comes from meeting both head-on. Onward. 💪🏽🏡

That summer, it was Duke, his cousin Robert, and his son Liam on site together—sharing tools, stories, and a deep respect for the craft. Watching that kind of lineage come alive on a jobsite is something we’ll never take for granted.

Our work was growing, but so were the relationships. Many of our clients became friends, and that trust shaped every decision, every detail, every long day.

We’re incredibly grateful—for the work, for the people, and for the chance to keep building something meaningful, together.
