Timberline’s Hot Tips for Cold Weather ⬇️ ❄️🔥

1. Close the foundation vents around the house.  If you have operable vents, there will be a metal tab that you pull to close the metal flap inside.  This will keep the cold air drafts out of the crawl space.  
2. Disconnect hoses and drip irrigation from exterior hose bibs. Do not leave them connected with the water turned on, the hose bib could burst.  If you haven’t already, turn off and winterize all outside irrigation.  
3. Keep the house thermostats set to 55 degrees or higher.  If you turn your thermostats off, then you need to shut the water valve off to the home. Replace your air filters with new ones for better air flow.
4. Make sure heat tape is working.  If you have heat tape on your roof, inside gutters, or wrapped around pipes, make sure it is turned on and warm to the touch.

Installing an electric heated driveway melts snow and ice with the flip of a switch. Ok, Mother Nature you can bring on the snow!!

There’s also a hydronic version (hot water tubing), but this electric system is simpler to install, but it’s still about twice the cost of a standard driveway.
